If you’re here, you probably know who we are. But for those of you who still haven’t heard our name, we’re happy to introduce ourselves. Welcome to ProWrite, Inc., the only company of our kind you need to know!

ProWrite is a premier, women-owned, technical writing company based in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. We’re dedicated to helping businesses thrive by alleviating their pain points caused by poor communication and documentation. Our client base stretches across multiple industries, like manufacturing, landscaping, cryptocurrency, and healthcare, to name a few.

You could say we’ve been around the block a few times—in fact, we have been around the sun more than 40 times, and we are just getting warmed up! Since our founding in 1982, ProWrite has maintained a long-standing tradition of excellence. In doing so, we’ve grown from a local firm to a global service provider with a second location in Washington state. In 2016, ProWrite employees Darlena Kelley and Kelly Summers purchased the company from its founders. Since taking the reins, they’ve made it their goal to grow and lead ProWrite into its next chapter and beyond.

“We ensure our staff remains at the forefront of industry trends and best practices. Our commitment to growth and learning underscores our dedication to excellence and positions us for long-term success.” –Darlena Kelley, ProWrite Owner

We Choose Your Words Wisely

ProWrite offers an array of services in addition to technical writing and editing, such as proofreading, translating, and graphic design. We create technical reports, user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), online articles, proposals, training materials, presentations, and much more. With a deep bench of talent, including seasoned writers and editors from multiple industries and diverse backgrounds, ProWrite can handle any technical writing project.

The company’s mission is to meet and exceed the communication needs of its diverse clientele, who range from Fortune 100 corporations to small businesses. By embracing technological advancements while maintaining a legacy of excellence, ProWrite ensures that each deliverable aligns precisely with client specifications.

ProWrite Is a Diverse Supplier

Since 2024, ProWrite has been certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) and Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). These certifications have opened many doors for ProWrite to expand our business opportunities and offerings. Not only have they helped ProWrite grow as a company, but they have benefited our clients as well! Working with diverse suppliers offers real advantages, such as:

  • Tax Incentives: When you partner with diverse businesses, including WBENC-certified organizations, you can take advantage of tax deductions and credits. The federal government offers these incentives when private-sector businesses employ the services of minority-owned companies. These businesses also may be able to take advantage of reduced tax liabilities if minority vendors and suppliers are being used for federal or state-funded grants or loans. Some states, like Georgia and California, offer additional incentives for businesses that hire minority-owned services, individuals from targeted groups, and businesses in low-income areas.
  • Increased Revenue and Performance: A 2016 study by The Hackett Group indicates that working with WBENC-certified businesses like ProWrite can increase profitability and lower recruiting, hiring, and operating costs. In addition, a 2023 report by McKinsey & Company indicates that teams with diverse leadership tend to outperform those without, and those same leaders “can also be a strong positive influence on the societal disposition of a company.”
  • Innovative Ideas and Fresh Perspectives: Breaking into any industry is a challenge, especially for members of marginalized communities. For small, minority-owned businesses to succeed, fresh ideas and innovations are a must. By consulting minority business leaders, you can gain access to these same ideas and innovations. With a diversity of perspectives at your disposal, your team can make better business decisions and develop a wide array of insights that lead to further success. We all come from different walks of life, so take a walk in another business owner’s shoes—you might find a new angle you never would have considered otherwise.
  • A Reputation for Representation: Working with a women-owned business demonstrates your commitment to diversity and economic growth. When you support underrepresented communities, you contribute to the growth of small businesses and local economies, which can improve your team’s reputation in the wider world. Not only that, but working with minority-owned businesses can open the door to opportunities with other minority groups down the line and help you break into new markets.

JPMorganChase offers the following insight on supplier diversity: “Supplier diversity is vital for driving innovation, expanding into new markets and fostering a more equitable business climate. It’s also a meaningful tool for economic growth and job creation—especially in often-overlooked communities.” JPMorganChase is a member of the Billion Dollar Roundtable, a non-profit organization that recognizes and celebrates corporations that spend at least $1 billion per year with minority and women-owned suppliers.

ProWrite is proud to be a WBE. Through skill and expertise, we’ve carved a name for ourselves in the field of technical writing and earned the respect of clients in mostly male-dominated industries.

“Being recognized on a national scale as a WBE officially proves what we have known all along: Women have a lot to offer the world of business, and we should never be counted out.” –Kelly Summers, Owner of ProWrite

We Practice What We Preach

ProWrite fosters a culture of continuous improvement and diversity. Many of the companies with whom ProWrite does business are diverse suppliers themselves. We source locally as much as possible and do our best to provide business and referrals to other small businesses in the area.
